💎  5 Tweet Tuesday 💎

My favorite 5 tweets of the week. Let’s dive in:

#1 💎

This tweet is so good, I could just send the newsletter with this one tweet and it would be an A+.

#2 💎

So let’s get this straight. 40% of Americans are obese, 40% of US marriages end in divorce, and we’re watching more than 8 hours of videos per day.

While I love the American dream, this sounds like the American nightmare!

#3 💎

This is like the time I copied every single answer on the Pre-Calculus test off my friend Michael Tran but accidentally copied one wrong and got a higher score than him.

#4 💎

This reminds me of a great quote from Jerry Seinfeld I found while doing research for my upcoming book

The context is that Jerry has the title for “most money turned down in TV history” (he said no to $110M for 1 more season of Seinfeld)

The reporter asked him why?? Why not do one more season?

The most important word in art is ‘proportion’ - How much? How many words? How many minutes?

Too much cake – too much of anything, changes the whole feeling of it..

Getting (proportion) right is what makes it art, or makes it mediocre….”

#6 💎 Brought To You By Mercury

It’s easy to feel like the sky is falling (especially if you’re just going off headlines)

Mercury actually surveyed 1,500 founders to get a better picture of what’s going on in the startup scene.

Turns out:

  • 79% of AI adopters are hiring more (not less)

  • 79% of early-stage businesses are increasing spend

  • 87% of founders feel more confident about their business’s financial future vs. 2024

It’s a quick read, but a good signal check if you’re building right now.
