The biggest rookie mistake is to worry about how up front.

To cross the river, you simply walk, and feel the stones as you go. 

There are two groups of people: 

Group 1 - The analyzers: they spend 80% of their energy trying to predict how something can be done. And if they can’t plan it, they don’t do it. They pat themselves on the back for being smart. 

Group 2 - The do’ers: spend 80% of their time thinking about what they want, and selecting 1-2 things they refuse to lose at. They don’t know how. They don’t care that they don’t know how to get there. They know it’s possible. And then they start walking. They will figure it out. 

My friend Moiz started the brand Native with an idea of creating a new deodorant brand. His friend asked him: “Moiz - do you even know anything about deodorant?” and he answered “today, I know nothing about deodorant. But in 6 months, I’ll be an expert in deodorant”

Decide the destination, not the route!

• Night shower before bed

• 1st shower at a rich person’s house (sample new soaps/shampoos) 

• Warm shower after cold swim

The world’s first trillioniare is going to be a guy who: 

• Could have retired with hundreds of millions

• Decides instead to go to Russia to try and buy their rockets

• Russians spit on him

• Decides to learn to build rockets, in America

• First 3 rockets explode

• Takes all his net worth, puts it into his 2 failing companies (Tesla/SpaceX). Borrows money for rent

• After 6 years, and 3 rockets blowing up, finally gets one to work

• 20 years later, it will IPO for $2 trillion+ next month
