💎  5 Tweet Tuesday 💎

My favorite 5 tweets of the week. Let’s dive in:

You’ve heard of the “innovators dilemma”?

Well, this is the “immigrators dilemma”.

Immigrant parents work so hard, save conservatively, to give kids a safety net. But that conservative mindset is so deep rooted, that the kids don’t even use the safety net. They play it safe too.

This tweet really hit me at some very deep level. I can’t even fully explain why.

It’s so true, that sometimes what holds us back isn’t what we lack, but what we have. A home, a job, a relationship, whatever.

We get trapped by the familiar, the guarantee, the free.

“Free rent” in a shitty little house feels like too good of a deal to leave behind to go do all the things that would otherwise improve your life.

The best ideas are both true and non-obvious. This is one of them.

This is awesome. This guy opened up a farm 90 mins outside of SF just for robotic farming startups to build and test their products.

I wanna go check it out in person. The future of farm tech.

Also just a brilliant way to differentiate as an investor.

Technically, you are closer to Bill Gates net worth than Bill Gates is to Elon Musks…

#6 💎 Brought To You By… Mercury

Most personal banking is built for the average user.

But most of you reading this are NOT average.

That’s where Mercury Personal comes in. It’s for people who:

  • Want clean systems

  • Like automations

  • Actually care where their money is going

  • Don’t want to call

It’s fast. It’s flexible. You can create sub-accounts for specific goals. Set auto-contributions. Share access cleanly with a partner or accountant.

It feels like modern software, not retail banking.

If that resonates, check it out here.

Disclaimer - Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.
