This is why the news, and social media are so costly. It’s like handing over the keys to your eyes and ears.

The easiest fix: just don’t look at your phone the first and last hour of the day.

Here’s a simple shift that helps you be successful and happy at the same time:

Most people get pleasure from consuming. (consuming food, consuming tv, consuming tiktoks etc)

A few people realize you can get even more joy from creating. Doing projects. Can be small like planting in your garden, training for a marathon, learning an instrument, building an app, or starting a business. 

These make you happy, in the moment. They also make you successful, over a ~10 year period.

Even simple projects that seem like they have no upside. They may not make money, but they make you. And in turn, you make money.

Doing projects well turns you into a do-er, a figure-outer, a show-up-again-the-next-day kinda person. And that type of person never has trouble making money once they set their mind to it.

The biggest nitpickers tend to be the biggest idiots. Even when they’re right, they are usually missing the forest for the trees.
