š 5 Tweet Tuesday š
My favorite 5 tweets of the week. Letās dive in:

My favorite āreputationā insight is from the brilliant George Mack:
āPeople only remember your weirdā
Our brains just forget anything thatās normal. Thereās no reason to remember or pay attention to it.
A successful tech guy who focuses on health after selling his company. He works out, gets blood tests quarterly, and eats healthy food === forgettable.
A successful tech guy who spends $2M a year on his body, takes blood from his teenage son, and only eats green sludge everyday === Bryan Johnson, millions of eyeballs, and a Netflix documentary.
To build a reputation you must do something weird (unexpected, not normal) for another person in your position.

Wow. I had no idea there are private companies that do airport TSA security.
So I did some quick digging... the company that does it at my airport (San Francisco, SFO) has received ~$440M+ to handle screening over the past 4 years.

$100m a year from just 1 airport.
What a great business.

A good reminder. Being consistent isnāt about being great everyday. Itās about showing up everyday.
Quick story: This year, I decided Iād learn to play the piano from scratch. I have no musical talent. Canāt sing. Canāt dance. But thought itād be fun to try.
At first, I tried doing intense 1-2 hour practice sessions everyday. But, of course, life happens. 4 businesses, 3 kids, and a very cute dog.
So I made a rule: no matter what, I would play for at least 10 mins a day. Because even on my worst days, I always have 10 minutes.
I was shocked that even just touching the keys for 10 minutes would make me a better player the next day.

#6 š Brought To You By Mercury
Itās easy to feel like the sky is falling (especially if youāre just going off headlines)
Mercury actually surveyed 1,500 founders to get a better picture of whatās going on in the startup scene.
Turns out:
79% of AI adopters are hiring more (not less)
79% of early-stage businesses are increasing spend
87% of founders feel more confident about their businessās financial future vs. 2024
Itās a quick read, but a good signal check if youāre building right now.
