A few others for ya:
Barcodes (1974) - The first scanned item ever was a pack of Wrigley’s gum in 1974. Before then, everything in the grocery store used to be priced by hand.
Car Cup Holders (1983) - People drove around for decades just holding their drinks in their laps. The first car to have built-in cup holders? The 1983 Dodge Caravan.
Credit Scores (1989) - Before that? Banks just “had a feeling” about you. Or judged you on how firm your handshake was.
