💎 5 Tweet Tuesday 💎
My favorite 5 tweets of the week. Let’s dive in:
#1 💎
“A healthy man wants 1,000 things, the sick man only wants one.”
#2 💎
I texted my wife today - “do you want anything from Starbucks”?
Then I realized the stupidity of my question. She always wants Starbucks. She’s never, not wanted Starbucks. Why ask? Why add to her cognitive load?
Just walk in the door and hand her Starbucks.
This is the modern day version of hunter gatherers. Don’t make her think. Go hunt a venti latte. Return home a champion.

I have a theory that if you were a teenager between 1998 and 2004, you accidentally became insanely high-agency.
There were no streaming services. No $9.99 Spotify or Disney+ to get what you want. If you wanted entertainment, you had to become a cyber criminal.
Do you know how complicated it was to just get access to music, movies and porn? Every day after school I was bootlegging Dane Cook comedy sets, learning bodybuilding from obscure internet forums, and if my mom picked up the home phone line, the entire internet would disconnect.
Shoutout to my fellow late 1980s kids, we unknowingly did navy-seal style training on how to hack the internet to get what you want.

I KNEW IT!!!!
NASA studied teams and found the most important role in a group that’s on a difficult mission is the clown.
Shoutout to my fellow clowns!!
We may not lead. We may not even follow. But we will make everyone less miserable.

#6 💎 Brought To You By Mercury
Confession: I just broke up with my old bank.
And honestly, I stayed with it way too long.
Not because it was good. Just because switching felt annoying.
Meanwhile, I’m over here optimizing everything else in my life.
So when Mercury (which I already use for work) launched personal accounts, I finally made the move. Now:
I’ve got sub-accounts for different goals
Auto-transfers funding stuff in the background
Instant wires when I need them
No random in-person visits
If you’re still tolerating your bank instead of liking it… might be time to join the club.
Disclaimer - Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.
