I never trust someone who brags about their civic duty. They’re usually overcompensating for something. Also, just to calculate, he sold the Mavs for $3.5B and is paying $288M, which is < 12% tax rate. Shoutout to Marc’s accountant, the real hero here.

Whether you agree or disagree with this description, it is useful to define different ‘gears’ for yourself. Eg. I have a “zen creativity” gear, a “laser focus unstoppable CEO” gear, and a “silly playful dad” gear that I shift between all day.
